Avalanche Skills Training Level 2

The AST 2 is all about terrain! We’ll spend 4 days in the mountains moving through avalanche terrain with an emphasis on managing hazard by using the terrain to our advantage. Did we mention that this course is all about terrain?

The AST 1 and 2 follow curriculum developed by the Avalanche Canada, a world leader in avalanche safety and training. Upon completion of each course, you will receive a certificate from Avalanche Canada. These courses are pre-requisites for the Canadian Avalanche Association Industry training programs.

Courses are available anywhere from Calgary to Revelstoke.

This 4 day course will expand upon all of the topics covered in the AST 1, and will allow for more time in the field, assessing a variety of terrain and how best to travel through it.
